Schedule:  Construction was completed in 2009

JMEC has been structural engineer for a remodeling of a 5,000 SF single story wood-framed building with CMU perimeter wall to comply with UBC.

JMEC has helped the owner to obtain a construction permit which was not in place prior to JMEC's involvement.  The improvements included opening up floor area, adding architecturally suspended ceilings, evaluating the adequacy of a movable 38'x14' skylight and remodeling bathrooms.

The existing roof framing was evaluated and strengthened locally to accommodate the additional weight of the suspended ceiling.

JMEC performed construction observations and helped owner to obtain occupancy permit.
